KHUSHAL HINGWE — BRAND × CONTENT × GROWTH
BHOPAL, IN • WORKING GLOBALLY

I build brands that know what to say — and why it should matter.

I work across brand strategy, content, growth and B2B SaaS — turning messy ideas into sharper positioning, stronger narratives and work that moves people to act.

STATUS: Currently building The Cohort Media, studying Computer Science, and obsessing over how businesses turn attention into growth.

The Cohort Media

FOUNDER & OPERATOR • 2024–PRESENT ↗ Real-world Venture • Talent Coordination Layer

A flexible creative & marketing talent network connecting startups and growing businesses with curated student and freelance talent — without the commitment of full-time hiring or the chaos of managing multiple freelancers.

OBSERVATION • THE FRICTION

The Problem

Startups need good marketing and creative talent, but hiring, coordinating and managing that talent can become its own problem. Students and freelancers, meanwhile, need meaningful work but struggle with credibility, scope confusion, and endless administrative friction. The bottleneck wasn't just skill — it was trust, checkpoints, and accountability.

DIAGNOSIS: Fragmentation of independent creative work.
ARCHITECTURE • THE SOLUTION

The Operating System

The Cohort Media creates a structured layer between the two sides. We curate talent through practical skill assignments, clarify briefs, define clear deliverables, establish intermediate revision gates, and coordinate execution toward one unified outcome.

OUTCOME: Accountability delivered without agency overhead.
THE OPERATING PRINCIPLE

“One project. The right people. One coordinated outcome.”

VISIT PLATFORM ↗
VALUE PROPOSITION FOR STARTUPS

High agility, zero overhead

Startups don't always need another full-time hire or another bloated agency retainer. Sometimes they need the right people for a specific launch, content sprint, campaign or creative backlog — with someone actually coordinating the work.

VALUE PROPOSITION FOR TALENT

Real projects, zero administrative drag

Good students and independent creatives shouldn't have to spend all their time pitching, chasing invoices, following up, and proving they're legitimate. The Cohort Media gives them a structured route into real projects with clear scope.

03 / B2B SAAS & GROWTH

I like the problems where the product is complicated — but the story can't be.

A growing part of my work has been around B2B SaaS: understanding a market, identifying the right buyer, mapping competitors, finding an enterprise wedge and translating product value into a sales or marketing narrative.

B2B SaaS Strategy Exercise 01 / SAFETYCONNECT →

SafetyConnect — Enterprise GTM Strategy

“In enterprise SaaS, the question isn't simply 'who could use this?' It is 'who owns the problem, who feels the cost of the problem, and who can approve the purchase?'”

Evaluated where a workplace safety and compliance SaaS product could find the strongest enterprise opportunity, narrowing the approach around regulated, safety-sensitive industries and identifying the true operational buyers rather than defaulting to generic C-suite targets.

Competitive Research & Positioning Exercise 02 / SAFETYCONNECT →

SafetyConnect — Competitive Landscape

Studied the competitive environment around workplace safety and compliance software platforms. Explored how SafetyConnect could differentiate through a sharper enterprise value proposition, category positioning against incumbent legacy suites, and an account-specific procurement approach.

CORE TAKEAWAY: Enterprise differentiation is won by aligning to compliance audit risk rather than feature parity checkmarks.

Marketing / Growth Assignment 03 / COFIATO →

Cofiato — Marketing & Growth

Developed a marketing and growth response around the brand and its core market bottlenecks, balancing creative consumer communication with practical acquisition funnels, retention mechanics, and pragmatic unit-economic considerations.

STRATEGIC ANGLE: Merging organic narrative loops with focused micro-influencer touchpoints to reduce customer acquisition cost.

Brand & Marketing Strategy Exercise 04 / PHOBAR →

Phobar — Premium FMCG / Brand Strategy

Explored how a premium soap bar can earn durable attention in an oversaturated commodity category. Unpacked consumer purchase psychology, analyzed how legacy prestige personal care brands command markups, and carved out a distinctive visual and narrative territory.

PSYCHOLOGICAL INSIGHT: In premium self-care, people aren't purchasing hygiene; they are buying micro-rituals of solitude.

05 / CONTENT & PERSPECTIVE

I don't see content as posting. I see it as building a point of view.

I've used LinkedIn as a live testing ground for ideas around startups, marketing, hiring, scope management, creative work and building The Cohort Media. The goal isn't to fill a content calendar. It's to make people stop, understand something, and remember who said it.

06 / PROCESS

Good work usually starts before the first draft.

THE 5-STAGE EDITORIAL ARCHITECTURE
STEP 01

Understand the business

Product, audience, category, constraint, and commercial goals. Without knowing the unit economics, writing is just decoration.

STEP 02

Find the real problem

Separate the brief from what actually needs solving. Most briefs describe symptoms, not root causes.

STEP 03

Find the angle

Uncover the insight, positioning or narrative anchor that gives the work an undisputed reason to exist.

STEP 04

Make it usable

Turn the strategic thinking into tangible messaging, content, campaigns, experiments, or an execution plan.

STEP 05

Test and refine

Use qualitative feedback, audience response, and harsh business reality to sharpen every word and eliminate drag.

07 / CAPABILITIES

Where I can plug into a team

Flexible execution for high-growth SaaS, indie founders, and brands preparing for launch.

Brand Strategy & Positioning 01

Clarify what the brand should own in the customer's mind. Define clear boundaries, point-of-view, and defensible category space.

Content Strategy 02

Build a repeatable editorial system around useful, differentiated ideas that convert casual attention into compound trust.

B2B SaaS Marketing 03

Messaging, ICP thinking, competitor research, GTM narratives and sales enablement assets that make complex value simple.

Founder-Led Content 04

Turn founder intuition and unwritten internal knowledge into authoritative public writing with an actual spine.

Growth & Acquisition 05

Prospect research, cold outreach narrative systems, acquisition funnels, and disciplined low-waste experiments.

Campaign & Creative Strategy 06

Develop the consumer insight, conceptual territory, and media delivery strategy before writing a single word of script.

Copy & Messaging Architecture 07

Full-funnel copywriting: websites, landing pages, digital ads, social cadences, email flows, and core brand guidelines that resist corporate clichés.

08 / WHO I AM

Part marketer. Part strategist. Slightly obsessed with why people care.

Education Computer Science, VIT Bhopal
Philosophy Idea × Business Reality

I'm Khushal Hingwe — a Computer Science student at VIT Bhopal who found himself increasingly drawn toward the other side of the product: how it is positioned, explained, marketed and remembered.

My work sits at the intersection of brand thinking, content, growth and business strategy. I like finding the simple idea inside a complicated brief, understanding what an audience actually needs to hear, and turning that into something a team can use — a campaign, a content system, a positioning statement, a sales narrative or a growth experiment.

That interest became more than portfolio work when I founded The Cohort Media — a talent network built around a problem I had personally observed: startups need good creative and marketing talent, but finding, coordinating and managing that talent can become its own problem.

Alongside building it, I've worked through B2B SaaS strategy, competitor analysis, account targeting, marketing assignments, campaign concepts and brand-building exercises. I care about ideas, but I also care about whether the idea can survive contact with an actual business.

WHAT I BRING TO TEAMS
→
Brand thinking: Positioning, distinct voice, sharp messaging, and category point of view.
→
Content engines: LinkedIn, social ecosystems, long-form essays, landing pages, and narrative systems.
→
Growth mechanics: Acquisition architectures, outbound funnels, cold outreach narratives, and GTM hypotheses.
→
B2B SaaS fluency: ICP modeling, competitor matrices, enterprise targeting, value propositions, and sales narratives.
→
Creative strategy: Turning nuanced human insights into campaigns people can easily understand and remember.
